Disk Feeder
The PDX series disk feeder is novel type, featuring high reliability, energy efficiency, and low maintenance requirements, widely applied in industries including metallurgy, building materials, chemicals, energy, etc., especially in large-scale sintering (including hot return), pelletizing, stockyard, coking, blast furnacing, coal injection, etc. processes in metallurgical industry. Disk feeder’s operation stability directly affects the output quantity and quality of steel production.
As a professional disk feeding system manufacturer, Zhongding is experience in researching, developing and producing for over 30 years. Currently, we have formed a complete series with eight models and over 30 specifications ranging from φ1600mm to 3600mm. According to different requirements and scenarios, our disk feeders come in various series: PDX (internal gear), PDXII (external gear), PDXJ (coking-specialized), and PDXG (high-temperature-specialized). All these are mature products with patented technologies.
For years, we insist on innovation and continuous improvement, and have developed disk feeders suitable for various scenarios. We’ve obtained over 20 patents for this product series, and currently, over 12,000 disk feeders are on service in over 120 steel plants in China, while our products have been exported to 10+ countries around the world.
- Disk section: disk, base, bottom frame, body support, transmission mechanism (reducer, motor, coupling, small gear, slewing bearing, etc.)
- Short tube section: short tube, scraper assembly (transferring materials to next process), and sector gate assembly (adjusting the size of the discharge opening)
- Dust cover: configured upon customer’s request
- Others: anchor bolts, nuts for tightening, washers, lifting devices (for equipment lifting), etc.
- Frequency conversion motor → coupling → hard tooth reducer → small gear → slewing bearing gear ring → disk transmission structure. The large diameter slewing bearing structure can withstand the pressure of materials in over 20m trough for a long time. Moreover, the slewing bearing has a large resistance to overturning moment, as well as low running resistance and smooth operation, ensuring great stability and uniform disk feeding.
- The reducer and motor are installed below the disk surface, ensuring compact size and reasonable layout, thus small footprint. Simple foundation shape allows for regular arrangement during deployment.
- The reducer is relatively independent of the disk, during maintenance, you only need to remove the reducer, no need for emptying the bin or removing the sleeve and disk surface.
- The short helical tube is designed to prevent material clogging and hanging, ensuring smooth discharge. A maintenance door is provided on the short tube for dealing with blockages and debris cleaning.
- The feed rate is adjusted through an adjustable control gate and the disk’s frequency conversion speed regulation, providing a wide adjustment range. After setting, the control gate does not need to be adjusted.
- All transmissions apply oil-immersed lubrication (including slewing bearings and small gears) with multi-stage sealing structures, ensuring good lubrication and sealing of transmission components, and preventing exterior objects from entering the lubrication section.
- The fully enclosed structure ensures no material spillage and no dust flying around the disk.
- The disk surface applies a waffle-patterned liner + wear-resistant liner + minimized liner wearing (by placing materials underneath) structure, ensuring a long service life for the liner.
- All structural parts have undergone shot blasting rust removal treatment to ensure no rusting for over 6 years.
- The PDXJ type disk feeder is a specialized for coal feeding in blast furnace and coking industries. The reducer applies oil-immersed lubrication, featuring compact structure and easy maintenance.
- A dust cover is provided on the upper side of the disk surface, which can also be equipped with a dust removal port connected to the on-site dust removal pipeline, preventing dust from flying, thus ensuring a good working environment.
